Trinity Broadcasting Network Welcomes Evangelist, Author, Movie Producer Ray Comfort to Award -Winning 'Praise the Lord' Program

Contact: Colby May, TBN, 972-313-9500, cmay@tbn.org

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- His no-nonsense style of presenting the gospel has made him one of the most talked-about evangelists in the world. His thought-provoking pro-life movie, 180: Changing the Heart of a Nation, has been seen by more than 4.3 million viewers on YouTube.

He is internationally known evangelism expert Ray Comfort, and he will be the special guest on the January 23rd edition of Trinity Broadcasting Network's flagship music and ministry show Praise the Lord.

Ray Comfort has shared his bold faith in Christ in some of the world's most intimidating venues, debating atheists at Yale and other prestigious universities, challenging people about what they believe on crowded street corners in the world's major cities, and talking about Christianity on national news shows like ABC's Nightline. Among the more than 60 books he has penned, such titles as You can Lead an Atheist to Evidence But You Can't Make Him Think and Evolution: A Fairy Tale For Grownups have placed him in constant demand as a speaker in both religious and secular forums.

Most importantly, Mr. Comfort is on a mission to encourage and challenge fellow believers to engage in Christ's Great Commission by sharing their faith with friends, neighbors, and others they come in contact with on a daily basis. "Our ministry exists solely to share Jesus Christ with a dying world and to equip Christians to do the same," he said.

"Ray's challenging message about the importance of sharing our faith is one every believer should hear," said TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch. "We're excited to have him as a guest on TBN's Praise the Lord."

In addition, Mr. Comfort will discuss the new movie Noah that his ministry Living Waters will release March 28th -- the same day Hollywood releases its highly dramatized version of the same biblical account. "Theirs is rightly billed as 'fiction' -- with Noah being painted as an evil character," explained Mr. Comfort. "Ours is based on the truth of Holy Scripture."

Ray Comfort will join guests Dr. Phillip Goudeaux, Pastor Kenny Foreman Jr., Pastor Jim Reeve, with music by Vicki Yohe, as Dwight Thompson hosts TBN's award-winning music and ministry show Praise the Lord, Thursday January 23rd at 7 p.m. Pacific Time (9 p.m. Central, 10 p.m. Eastern).
