BRANSON, Mo., March 10 /Christian Newswire/ -- Point 11, a $4 Million Dollar Christian Camping and Retreat Center will open for Christian retreats and group camping rentals on May 31st, 2010. The rental camp facility is located on a 70-acre peninsula on Table Rock Lake near Shell Knob, Missouri. The camp is owned and operated by Kids Across America, along with their other three camps that serve urban youth from across the country. When fully operational Point 11 will bring over 3000 people to stay overnight in the Ozarks.

In a time of economic downturn, the opening of Point 11 is a sign that there is still great value in a camping experience. Point 11 Director, Bruce Morgan has over 30 years of camping management and youth ministry. He will lead the team opening the new facility and provide leadership and guidance for the Group Coordinators renting the facility. "Christian camping has provided children and adults time away from life. Time needed for introspection and examining spiritual issues." His own story echoes that value and his life's work has prepared him to begin this new camp. "I have seen 1000's of lives turn 180 degrees at camp. Kids and adults alike will discover the truth of the Gospel at Point 11. That gets me excited about the years ahead."

Every new Christian Camping and Retreat Center struggles to convince groups they can provide the facilities that are fun and broad enough to make the experience great. The facility design reflects over 80 years of Christian camping excellence. This impressed group leader, Brian Mitchell, "When I saw the opportunity for our FCA kids to experience the fun and excitement of the best camping has to offer, at a price we could afford, the question became, 'how many weeks can we fill?'" Mitchell will bring his Fellowship of Christian Athletes group to Point 11 this summer.

The Point 11 facility is designed for large groups of 100-200+ campers. Groups renting the facility bring the campers, the counselors and staff to speak and lead group times. Point 11 provides all the support staff to run the activities, including ropes course, climbing wall, challenge course, and lifeguards for the pool. Point 11 also provides professionally managed food service and grounds maintenance.
