MEDIA ADVISORY, Mar. 3 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Richard G. Cutler, PhD:
I have been researching the role of antioxidants on human health for decades. My work began in gerontology, or the study of aging, and includes the development of the original ORAC method for measuring antioxidants.
Throughout my career I have paid attention to nutrition products that provide superior antioxidant protection. Fruit of the Spirit, from Trinity Nutriceuticals, is such a product. It is a natural, energizing and healing puree that is high in anti-oxidants and minerals, and is an excellent health product for people seeking more energy, better sleep, fewer aches and pains, and general well-being.
The 16 whole fruit purees found in Fruit of the Spirit, including aloe, apple, blueberry, fig, grape, pomegranate, and sea buckthorn, provide broad-spectrum antioxidant protection not found in single-fruit juices. A series of recent studies from Bell Research demonstrates the health benefits of Fruit of the Spirit.
The first study looked at the ORAC value of Fruit of the Spirit compared to those of the most commonly consumed 100% fruit juices. Fruit of the Spirit has an ORAC value of 2,000 per fluid ounce, compared to an average of about 360 for the juices. The report shows that Fruit of the Spirit's ORAC value was three times greater than the highest juice performers - grape and pomegranate.
The second study used a powerful new test to examine Fruit of the Spirit's ability to inhibit NF-kB. NF-κB plays a key role in regulating human immune response and is a well-known marker of inflammation. Fruit of the Spirit showed a significant reduction in NF-kB. The report states, "We are very impressed with the ability Fruit of the Spirit, a natural antioxidant product, to inhibit NF-kB, a marker typically used to test drugs. By inhibiting NF-kB, Fruit of the Spirit demonstrates that it is beneficial to our health and wellbeing."
The final study looked at a number of factors related to health and well-being in five participants who had recently had bariatric surgery. These factors were aches and pains, quality of sleep, energy, and overall well-being. Each participant consumed a 2-ounce serving of Fruit of the Spirit twice a day for thirty days and kept a daily record log.
The results were impressive. On average, the indicators either stayed high or improved significantly. Participants experienced improvements in energy level, quality of sleep, and overall well-being of 23%, 13% and 10%, respectively, while aches and pains remained consistently low.
