WICHITA, Kansas, Nov. 14 /Christian Newswire/ -- Operation Rescue is calling pro-life supporters from around the nation to converge on Wichita, KS, the Abortion Capital of the World, for a four-day event on January 19-22, focusing on late-term abortionist George R. Tiller during the 34th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that decriminalized abortion in America.

The event, which will be known as Wichita ’07 – A Cry For Justice, was prompted by Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, who has been highly critical of Tiller over the last week’s broadcasts of The O’Reilly Factor. “There should be thousands of people protesting outside Tiller’s abortion clinic in Wichita,” O’Reilly said.

“We have received an outpouring of support for this event,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.  “We are very excited to be able to focus the attention of the nation on the most heinous abortionist in the country, as well as give people hope that, with their help, the tragedy of abortion will soon come to an end.”

Here is the tentative schedule of events (subject to change) for Wichita ’07- A Cry For Justice:

Friday, January 19, 2007:  Kick off for the event will be a protest and press conference at the gate of Tiller’s infamous late-term abortion mill.  OR will make a statement concerning the status of the Kline investigation of Tiller for illegal late-term abortions and concealment of child rape.

Saturday, January 20:  A Cry for Justice Conference will be held featuring nationally known speakers.

Sunday, January 21:  Worship Service and building dedication at the now closed Central Women’s Services abortion mill that was bought and closed earlier this year by Operation Rescue. There will also be a Candlelight Prayer Vigil at Tiller’s abortion mill on the eve of the 34th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Monday, January 22:  The Roe v. Wade anniversary will be capped with a rescue outreach and a memorial service and Tiller’s mill.

Other activities are to be announced.

“We also have a few surprise announcements up our sleeve,” said Newman.  “By God’s grace this will be a pro-life event that could prove to be a watershed moment in our history.”
