ENUMCLAW, Wash., June 27, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Former high school business teacher, Dottie Eichhorn, releases her first book titled "Reading God's Mind" (WinePress, 2011). Organized alphabetically by topic, Eichhorn's book contains 72 different categories such as: Blessings, Grace, Health, Justice, Marriage, Righteousness, and Worry. Each chapter includes corresponding Bible verses offering spiritual insight into that particular topic.

"As I was reading the Bible, I started to write down passages that jumped out at me. Then I began to categorize them into blessings, obedience, etc. For years I wanted people to read the Bible so they could be blessed from the Word as I was. This was the way to do it. Give the reader a glimpse of God's mind so it would not be overwhelming."

Eichhorn received her Bachelor's degree in Business Education at Bowling Green State University in 1969. She moved to Colorado in 1970 and started her 20-year teaching career with the Denver Public School System teaching business classes and coordinating the Business and Office Education program. During this time Dottie received her Master's Degree in Vocational Education in Job Development at Colorado State University and then 100 hours in Vocational Education and Psychology.

During her teaching career, Dottie belonged to a book club. She recalled someone saying to her that the best book that she will ever read is the Bible. After 40 plus years, she finally read through the Bible and it dramatically changed her and her life.

"I discovered that the Bible is the best book. It is amazing how the Bible has an answer for every situation that occurs in my life. It is truly an instruction book for daily living and a way to have a personal relationship with God."

Currently, Eichhorn is retired and living in the San Luis Valley in Colorado. She enjoys being outdoors working in flower and vegetable gardens. You can also find her walking, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
