MEDIA ADVISORY, March 16 /Christian Newswire/ -- In less than 30 days, David Sumrell starts his walk a Cross, America. He is starting on April 11, 2010, in Virginia to California. He will then travel from the northern United States around Canada, back down to the southern shores of Texas.
His journey is going to take well over a year and is being done to give others hope, through faith that Gods' love is merciful and with the faith of a mustard seed, mountains can be moved.
In 2004, he was sent home to die after the melanoma tumor in his eye, metastasized and spread throughout his body, organ's and brain. After his covenant with God was fulfilled, the cancer was taken out of his body without any medications. He was left with seven nods in his lungs. In 2009, it was established that one of the nods was active, after CAT scans, PET scans and MRI's it was determined that the cancer was spreading again throughout his body. The PET scan revealed two active spots of concern. These new test results again brought grave concern to all of his doctors.
It was at this time David knew, he was supposed to start sharing his story with others. He's going to travel throughout the United States, while sharing his faith of a mustard seed. He is going to carry his cross and share his story with as many people who want to hear.
In 2004, after being given the news that there was nothing that could be done and even experimental chemotherapy would be useless, because the cancer was already in his brain, he thanked God for all the blessings he had had in his life. He never asked God to save his life; only that His will be done. He told God, if given the opportunity, he would write three books in His honor.
He will not detour his resolve to give God the glory for his miraculous recovery and his thanks for everyday he has been given. Throughout his life he has had many trials, tribulations and even the death of his 21 year old son in 2007.
If it is God's will, David will fulfill this promise. He has watched many others die from this disease. He would love to ask God why he is still alive and they are not; however he won't? Is there anyone who might think they know the answer?
