Mark Carman Joins Staff at International Cooperating Ministries

HAMPTON, Va., Aug. 21, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- International Cooperating Ministries (ICM), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture believers and assist Church growth worldwide, has announced the appointment of Mark Carman as its new director of radio, TV, music and product development. Carman is an American music producer, songwriter, musician and entertainment executive. He has appeared as a musician, vocalist or producer on more than 2,800 recordings and has provided his services to some of the top names in the entertainment industry in various roles ranging from producer to promoter. Some of his credits include: Alabama, Shenandoah, T. Graham Brown, Trace Adkins, Jimmy Fortune, Billy Walker, Marty Raybon, The Judds, Billy Joe Royal, Helen Reddy, George Jones, Alan Jackson, Rebecca Holden and more. He has produced more than 20 Top 40 recordings.

Mark is a member of BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporated), the GMA (Gospel Music Association), the CMA (Country Music Association), and he is a voting member of The Grammy Awards. He is a co-founder of IAIRA (The International Association of Independent Recording Artists).

He is a veteran of the United States Navy and a former police officer. In 1990, he was appointed a Kentucky Colonel by Kentucky Governor Wallace G. Wilkinson. That same year, he was inducted into the Policeman's Hall of Fame. In 2007, he was honored as an Ambassador of Good Will by the governor of Tennessee. In 2008, a Doctorate of Humanities title was awarded him by St. Luke College in Fresno, Calif., and he was ordained a Minister of the Gospel. In 2011, Mark was awarded the President's Award for Volunteers in Service to America.

ICM is a Hampton-based ministry founded by businessman Dois I. Rosser.
