FLORENCE, Ky., Jan. 25, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- All God's Children International (AGCI) celebrates 20 years of helping children around the world through adoption, orphan care and missions by announcing expansion into Kentucky as a licensed adoption agency. While AGCI works with families across the nation, Kentucky becomes the fifth state along with Oregon, Washington, Ohio and Michigan that AGCI is licensed in to perform all phases of the adoption journey, from home studies for prospective parents to post adoption support for the entire family.

Over the last two decades, AGCI has worked passionately to build families through international adoption, while also providing in-country care for children in need. As a non-profit Christian organization, AGCI has united over 2,000 children with their forever families while offering support and care to the countless orphans who find themselves still living behind orphanage doors today. Currently, AGCI is conducting adoptions through Ethiopia, China, Taiwan, Bulgaria, Ukraine and the Oregon Foster Care program. In 2010, AGCI completed over 200 adoptions and touched the lives of over 12,500 children and families in need through orphan care and family preservation projects.

"We are excited to be fully licensed in Kentucky," said Hollen Frazier, Executive Director of All God's Children International. "We have completed over 65 adoptions throughout Kentucky by partnering with other service providers. Now we can assist adoptive families through every step of this exciting journey, as they answer God's call to provide a loving family for children in need."

AGCI will kick-off its Kentucky services with a Free Informational Seminar where the public can learn about the adoption process. This educational presentation will take place on Saturday, February 12th at 11:00 am, at the Calvary Christian Center in Louisville. AGCI's adoption staff and adoptive families will be on hand to answer specific questions about the adoption process, waiting children, and other topics those considering adoption may want to discuss.

Advance registration for the February 12th seminar is available in the Event section on AGCI's website at www.AllGodsChildren.org. You can also RSVP by contacting Kentucky Director Deb Athans by email at dathans@allgodschildren.org, or by phone at 513-886-7183.

STORY OPPORTUNITIES: International adoption provides very visual story opportunities for journalists. We can assist in scheduling interviews with local families that have adopted. These children who now live happy and healthy lives present a stark contrast to the 145 million orphans around the world who struggle to survive each day.

ABOUT ALL GOD'S CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL: Founded in 1991, All God's Children International passionately serves the world's forgotten children by offering hope through the life-changing ministries of adoption, orphan care and missions. Each year, AGCI unites over 200 orphans from around the world with their forever families. Additionally, AGCI provides orphan care for those left behind, family preservation projects, and short-term mission trips to help provide the shelter, care, and love that every child deserves.
