COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 20, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world's largest religious broadcaster and America's most watched faith channel, announced that WSFJ-TV, its full-power TV station in Columbus, Ohio, has completed a significant upgrade that includes a new studio facility and an expansion to five of TBN's premier Christian networks.

"With the move of WSFJ, Channel 51, to our new facility in Lewis Center, TBN has expanded its ability to provide nearly 1.5 million potential viewers in the Columbus area with the best in Christian and family-friendly programming," said WSFJ's station manager Linda Bell. "We're now able to multi-cast TBN's top five channels, and with our new state-of-the-art HD studio we can host our own Praise the Lord and Joy in Our Town programs with local pastors and ministries, and with live studio audiences."

Since October 2008 TBN's flagship network has broadcast around the clock in Columbus and the surrounding area on WSFJ. With the station's upgrade it is now multi-casting four additional digital TBN networks:

  • JCTV, a 24-hour channel geared for teens and young adults, featuring cutting-edge Christian music videos, reality and game shows, relevant talk programs, comedy, extreme sports, and much more.

  • Smile of a Child, TBN's exclusive network for kids, featuring 24-hour faith-based programming especially for viewers ages three through thirteen.

  • The Church Channel, the only 24-hour network featuring America's most popular church services and ministry programs from a wide variety of Protestant, Catholic, Pentecostal, and independent congregations and fellowships.

  • Enlace, America's premier Spanish language faith network, offering the best inspirational programs from Latin America and the most popular programs from TBN all in Spanish 24 hours a day.

"Since WSFJ began broadcasting TBN in the fall of 2008, the community response has been phenomenal," said Bell. "Our expansion to five TBN networks will greatly enhance our efforts to bring quality, uplifting, and encouraging programming to the Central Ohio area."

TBN founder Dr. Paul Crouch noted that channels like WSFJ provide tens of millions of viewers in America's metropolitan areas with wholesome, inspirational programming. "We congratulate our TBN team in Columbus for this significant upgrade," said Dr. Crouch, "and we thank you for your continued faithfulness in broadcasting the good news throughout your community."
