PEMBROKE PINES, Fla., Oct. 30, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- The "Test of Fire" video narrated by Gov. Mike Huckabee (youtu.be/8eV0OipvkZE) calls Christians to vote their values, has just been released. Huckabee opens stating, "In generations past, the Church has always been able to count on the faithful to stand up and protect its sacred rights and duties. This generation must do the same."

The three-minute video features an image of an old-fashioned blacksmith forging iron into words depicting campaign issues and flashes back and forth with images of a woman walking toward a voting booth. Although there are many issues, some are deemed as non-negotiable for Christians: the right to life from conception to natural death, marriage between one man and one woman, and religious freedom. "Marriage should be reinforced, not redefined," Huckabee states in the video. "It is an egregious violation of our cherished principle of religious liberty for the government to force the Church to buy the kind of insurance that leads to the taking of innocent human life."

Huckabee ends by asking, "Your vote will affect the future and be recorded in eternity...Will you join me this November 6 and vote based on values that will stand the test of fire?"

This version is a voice-over of the original "Test of Fire" video produced by Catholics Called to Witness (www.CC2W.org) founded by Dr. Manuel and Adriana Gonzalez, parents of seven children. The video electrified Christians across the nation with over 2 million views in a few of months. "We received a lot of positive responses from non-Catholics who told us that they love the video and that they stand with us," said Manuel. Jeremy Wiles with Creative Lab(www.Creative-Lab.com) helped to create an Evangelical Version that is now being promoted at the www.ValueVotersUSA.com web site.

Huckabee was a strong advocate of this message during the Republican Convention, condemning the redefinition of marriage and the treatment of life as "disposable and expendable at any time in the womb or even beyond the womb." He also severely criticized the taking away of religious freedom by forcing people to violate their faith and conscience in order to comply with government health care.
