PORTLAND, Ore., August 22, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Back in December of 2010, leading liturgical publisher, OCP, announced free assembly edition downloads of every new and revised OCP Mass setting. Now, as the time for implementation of the new Roman Missal draws closer, OCP has extended their offer through Advent 2014.

"Many churches have different types of liturgies that may require a variety of settings," said OCP publisher John Limb. "We understand that ministers and music directors may be purchasing multiple copies of Mass settings in order to try them out with their parishes--and that can be expensive. To provide our partners in ministry with what they need to make this transition as smooth as possible, we've made downloadable assembly editions of every OCP Mass setting free with unlimited reprint permissions."

The assembly editions feature lyrics and melodies in an easy-to-read PDF format. They give churches everywhere the ability to experiment with their assemblies to find the settings that best meet their needs.

Any parish can download free assembly editions of Masses including new settings by trusted composers like Dan Schutte and Curtis Stephan, as well as revised settings, like Celtic Mass by Christopher Walker and the bilingual Misa del Pueblo Inmigrante by Bob Hurd, now through November 30, 2013.

"As part of our mission, we strive to serve our customers with unparalleled excellence and anticipate their needs. We hope that the opportunity to download and reprint unlimited copies of OCP Mass settings will ultimately help parishes find styles that work well with each of their assemblies and musicians," said Tom Tomaszek, Director of Artists and Repertoire for OCP.

Because additional Mass settings are continually added, users are encouraged to bookmark the address--ocp.org/NewMassSettings--and check back regularly.
