Caldwell, 51, was approached at their table for two by an unknown woman requesting him to autograph her paperback edition of his "Alabama, A Haven for Love" novel.

As he was signing the inside book cover, she asked him, "Hey, aren't you one of those Pro-Life nuts?"

Caught completely off guard, F.D. Caldwell, spontaneously blurted out without even looking up at her, "But wasn't your mother Pro-Life? I mean, she chose to give birth to you, didn't she?"

The woman quickly turned around and walked out of the restaurant without her now autographed book.
