WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced their endorsement of Bill Bolling, Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. 

Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser commented on the endorsement:

Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund endorsements are publicized to the organization's membership.  The SBA List Candidate Fund supports pro-life female candidates, as well as, like this year's election in Virginia, pro-life male candidates who run against female candidates in favor of abortion rights.   The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund endorsed Bolling during his first candidacy for Lieutenant Governor in 2005.

While serving as a state senator, Bolling supported parental rights across Virginia by advocating for parental notification and consent legislation. Focusing on the safety of all women--born and unborn--Bill also fought for higher patient safety standards in abortion clinics and a ban on the gruesome partial birth abortion procedure. As Lieutenant Governor, Bolling cast the tie-breaking vote that resulted in a ban for state funds to Planned Parenthood, the nation's leading abortion provider.

The Susan B. Anthony List is named for the nation's famous suffragist, who opposed abortion, calling it "child murder."  Her fellow suffragist, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, once remarked, "When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit."

Bill Bolling is the current Lieutenant Governor of Virginia and the Republican incumbent running against Jody Wagner, who supports abortion rights. The Virginia elections are scheduled to be held on November 3, 2009.
