AMARILLO, Texas, Feb. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Jerry Horn, Senior Advisor and Director of Public Relations at Priests for Life, has been named a recipient of the 2007 Cardinal John O'Connor Pro-Life Award.  Presented at the Legatus International Summit held recently in Naples, Florida, the Cardinal O'Connor Award is one of the highest honors in the pro-life movement.

Perhaps the preeminent public relations specialist in the pro-life movement, Mr. Horn has been a tireless activist for the unborn for over 25 years.   Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, said of Horn, "Jerry is uniquely gifted and supremely talented, but his greatest attribute is his servant's heart.  I can't think of anyone more deserving of this high honor."

The Cardinal O'Connor Award was established in 2001 by Legatus, a Catholic lay organization of over 3,200 executives and their spouses founded by Tom Monaghan, former owner of Domino's Pizza and the Detroit Tigers baseball team.  First presented Congressman Henry Hyde, the award is given annually to individuals who have "demonstrated courageous Christian witness in defending the sanctity of all human life."
