ROCHESTER, Mich., Oct. 15 /Christian Newswire/ -- This year for Christmas, more families will enjoy presents in Michigan thanks to a newly published version of the Christmas story.

The third in the BibleRhymes series of children's books, BibleRhymes' Christmas Story brings a rhyme scheme and playful art form that are familiar to readers of the first two books, Creation and Noah and the Ark. Taking a light yet reverent approach to the world's most popular story, BibleRhymes aims to both educate and entertain children from all walks of life.

"I have ministers from a variety of churches review all of my books before publication," says Ken McCardell, author of the BibleRhymes series. "This way I know the stories are Biblically accurate from several perspectives, even while we're having fun with the rhymes. It's why a number of churches have started using them as tools in Sunday school."

While portions of the profits from all of their sales are used to get their books out to charities, BibleRhymes will direct Christmas Story profits towards Christmas gifts for families in need.

"We've decided to set aside some of the profits all the way until Christmas so that we can work with Macomb County's 'Holiday Adopt a Family' program ], getting gifts to families here in Michigan," says McCardell. "The joy of giving and receiving is something kids should learn early on so that they can embrace the idea of sharing throughout their lives. This is an important part of what Christmas stands for."

BibleRhymes already gives freely throughout the year. Its entire Creation story is available as a free, downloadable e-book in addition to the hardcover version. McCardell also says that a new form of e-books is on the way.

"We're launching a set of interactive, online BibleRhymes books that will include animations and games. The first will be available on our website before Thanksgiving."
