Tuscarora Multimedia Sponsors a Concert Series to Support Our Troops

Contact: Benjamin Pietsch, 717-261-4150

MEDIA ADVISORY, Aug. 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- Tuscarora Multimedia is proud to sponsor an on-going concert series to express support for our troops. The first concert will be held on Veterans Day, 2007 at the historic Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

This will be an opportunity for Americans from all walks of life to join together to express our gratitude to our veterans, especially those serving on active duty. Another purpose of this concert series is to foster a feeling of pride in what it means to be an American. These concerts are a way for Americans to stand together, indivisible under God, against those who wish us harm.

Tuscarora Multimedia's President and Producer, Benjamin Pietsch, witnessed first-hand how words and music can help rebuild the morale of the American people. In the wake of another unpopular war, Mr. Pietsch performed live as a musician in the U.S. Armed Forces Bicentennial Band to a crowd of 500,000 Americans who had gathered in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia on July 4, 1976. There, President Gerald Ford gave a nationally televised address to mark the two-hundredth anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence as part of the bicentennial celebration. Memories of this experience became the inspiration for Tuscarora Multimedia sponsoring this new concert series to bring Americans together to show gratitude to our troops.

Exceptional singers and musicians will be featured throughout this concert series. As an example, gospel music legend Stephen Hill will be part of the line up for most concerts. In addition to his career as a legendary solo artist, Stephen Hill is a top studio musician in Nashville who has sung on recordings by Dolly Parton and Hank Williams, Jr. Stephen Hill has also appeared on the Gaither gospel TV series. Another regular artist in the concert series will be patriotic and inspirational singer Cheryl Peach, who has performed with Bob Hope, the Oakridge Boys, Lee Greenwood, and on PBS. More performers will include singers and vocal groups that have performed on the Gaither Homecoming concert series, as well as southern gospel artists and groups that are often featured in Singing News magazine. Additional established performers from Nashville will be added to the concert series to broaden the variety of music to help ensure that there's something for everyone.

As mentioned earlier, a Veterans Day concert will be held at the Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on November 11, 2007 at 3 pm. This will kick off the concert series planned for theaters throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Another concert, which will be entitled "God & Country-Live!" will be held at the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on May 4, 2008.

Additional "God & Country-Live!" concerts are being planned for venues including Hershey Theater in Hershey, Pennsylvania, American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Luhrs Center in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Gettysburg Majestic Theater, Eichelberger Theater in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Maryland Theater in Hagerstown, Maryland, Weinberg Auditorium in Frederick Maryland, Strathmore Auditorium in Rockville, Maryland, the Lyric Auditorium in Baltimore, Maryland, and Wolf Trap amphitheater in Vienna, Virginia. Of course, the Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania is home base for the concert series since it is nearby the headquarters of Tuscarora Multimedia.

Discount ticket prices will be offered at all concerts for veterans, including active duty military. Senior discounts as well as discounts for children 18 and under will also be offered at every concert. Some free tickets will be available to our disabled veterans by contacting Tuscarora Multimedia on a first come, first served basis.
