WEST CHESTER, Ohio, Nov. 16, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- On Friday, November 18, the continuing resolution that funds the Federal Government will expire. Speaker of the House, John Boehner, has failed to defund Planned Parenthood and has voted four times in 2011 for bills that fund Planned Parenthood.

Mr. Lewis states: "It is past time that Speaker Boehner lives up to his pro-life promises by defunding the largest murderer of unborn babies, Planned Parenthood. The current continuing resolution expires this Friday; will Mr. Boehner stand up for the babies, and refuse to sign the bill if it contains Planned Parenthood funding? So far, Mr. Boehner has voted for Planned Parenthood funding every time he has had the opportunity in 2011.

"If I were a member of the House of Representatives, I would never vote for a bill that funds Planned Parenthood. My pledge is that I would work tirelessly to make it a criminal act to kill a baby from conception until birth."

On CBN earlier this year Mr. Boehner stated: "there will be an opportunity some time in order to [defund Planned Parenthood] and we're looking for that opportunity."

Mr. Lewis states: "Mr. Boehner has had four opportunities this year alone to defund Planned Parenthood. His fifth opportunity will be this week. Will Mr. Boehner betray the babies again, or will he step up to the plate and defund Planned Parenthood? I have a suspicion that he will will once again vote to give money to baby killers; I pray that he proves me wrong."
