ATLANTA, Oct. 1 /Christian Newswire/ -- 2007 Dove Award New Artist and Songwriter of the Year Aaron Shust brings his music and overnight success story to the Gospel Music Channel this Saturday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) with the world premiere of Front Row Live: Aaron Shust.

Shust, who only two years ago was leading worship at Perimeter Church near Atlanta, has recently released Whispered and Shouted, his sophomore album on Brash Records and a follow-up to the critically acclaimed and smash debut Anything Worth Saying. In his Front Row Live concert series debut, Shust leads the audience in worship and song with songs from both records, including the Dove Award Song of the Year "My Savior My God." Other songs featured in the show are "Open the Eyes of My Heart," "Runaway," "Matchless," "Like I Never Felt Before," "Watch Over Me," "Create Again," "Give Me Words to Speak," Can't Hide From Your Love," "Give It All Away" and "Stillness (Speak to Me)".

Gospel Music Channel will present encore presentations of Front Row Live: Aaron Shust on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) and Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. (ET/PT). Visit www.gospelmusicchannel.com for complete listings and additional airings.

A life-long churchgoer Shust grew up in Pittsburgh, where he started playing piano at 7. As a teenager Shust learned to play the guitar and was influenced by the sounds of the sixties and Motown. Attending Toccoa Falls College, Shust studied music theory, developed an aptitude for the likes of Bach and Mozart, and soaked in the sounds of more recent masters like his favorite band U2. These contemporary influences come to bear on Whispered and Shouted. The CD is an exploration of new musical territory for what is at its heart another praise and worship album from this exciting newcomer. Reviews of the CD have included a four-star review from CCM Magazine reviewer and Billboard writer Deborah Evans Price who says: "Audiences who enjoyed Shust's debut album will love this new collection. On Whispered and Shouted, he makes the transition from promising newcomer to established artist and displays a depth of talent sure to keep him a force in the music community for years to come."

Front Row Live is GMC's original series featuring powerhouse artists hosting their own concert performances while sharing their musical inspirations in front of specially-invited audiences. Featured artists have included Third Day, Michael W. Smith, The Clark Sisters, Kirk Franklin, Natalie Grant, Rebecca St. James, Gospel Dream Winner Brian Smith and Randy Owen of Alabama. Upcoming world premieres include Connersvine (Oct. 13) and Calvin Cooke and Friends with special guest Robert Randolph (Oct. 21).
