MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 18, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christians interested in vocations in ministry, pastorship, evangelism, counseling and more may enroll at North Central Theological Seminary, an online accredited religious institution of higher learning based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, with no initial tuition down payment. Candidates interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree program must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates interested in pursuing a master's degree program must have a bachelor's degree. Candidates interested in pursuing a doctoral degree must have a master's degree.

According to Dr. Isaac Izobiani, North Central Theological Seminary's director of graduate and undergraduate studies, "The current societal moral decay, declining church attendance, and Islamic extremism are all indicative of the urgent need to train new pastors, evangelists, and religious educators who will fearlessly and impartially preach the gospel of Jesus Christ nationally and internationally. As a result of today's economic hardships, many people interested in winning souls for Christ either do not have the funds needed to attend seminary and obtain the credentials required to make an impact. This is why North Central Theological Seminary is making these scholarships available to potential men and women of God."

In this program, students will be registered for one month with no initial tuition payment required. After the initial month, however, students will be required to appear for an online interview and write an essay summarizing what they have learned to date before scholarships are issued. Completed essays must be submitted online for grading. Students with a passing grade of "C" and above will be awarded a scholarship to continue their studies.

Because North Central Theological Seminary is a non-profit institution of higher learning, scholarship students will still be responsible for administrative fees and a fraction of the cost of enrollment at: www.nctsmn.org/?scholarship.

All applications for the North Central Theological Open Scholarship must be received by February 28, 2012.
