MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 9 /Christian Newswire/ -- Calvin Wooten's newest book, The Book of Love -- Through the Eyes of a Child, tells the story of one man's struggle to live life without inflicting pain on himself and those around him. It is a book about forgiveness, mercy, and God's loving grace. Not to be mistaken for a biography, but rather a roadmap to peace.

Wooten's book is broken up into two sections. The first chapters are abusive to the spirit but written from the kindness of the heart and the final chapters are about the effects produced by the practice of loving God. The first section is written with a very descriptive honesty about Wooten to help the reader understand where he is coming from. This is the type of honesty that can help people search for the soul inside of another.

"The road (to God) is not as narrow nor is the gate as small as has been implied by men. God does not make a hard way for us, people make it hard. In my case, God was not so concerned about rituals; he was too overwhelmed with joy simply because I was coming home."

The second part of the book shows the effects that the practice of loving God and all other can produce. Wooten explains, "This would include the men who raped me and molested me and the men who killed my brother." The idea of loving these types of people can be very difficult, but the end result according to Wooten can lead them to peace.
