CHAMBERSBURG, Penn., Feb. 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Gospel Tide Broadcasting Association (The Tide) has announced plans to focus all of their resources on expanding their foreign mission outreach. That mission includes, producing radio programs that will reach people in their heart language, focusing efforts on regions and people groups who currently have very little or no access to the Gospel, engaging listeners in discipleship and leadership development activities and providing radios for people to be able to hear the message they are broadcasting in foreign countries since 1978. The Tide world outreach now includes 14 programs in 12 languages.

The Tide ministry includes effective discipleship activities including literature distribution, Bible correspondence courses, seekers conferences (discipleship seminars) and the radio distribution project. The combination of ministry elements has proven to be extremely effective in changing lives throughout India, Africa, and Europe, and planting churches where believers are nurtured in their faith and through which whole communities can be drawn into the Kingdom of God.

One example of changed lives is as follows: a young girl visiting her uncle had the opportunity to listen to his radio. While listening, she heard The Tide's Hindi program and she was touched by the message. After returning home, she wrote to The Tide requesting more information about Christianity, and mentioned in her letter that although she enjoyed the program, she could not listen to it at home because her family did not have a radio. A generous gift from a friend of The Tide allowed this young girl to receive a radio. The young girl wrote again to express her gratitude for the gift and to say that since receiving the radio her whole family has been listening to The Tide program and now her entire family has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

In addition, a single radio in Zimbabwe has helped to plant three new church congregations. Radios cost just $40.00 each and The Tide places them in the hands of poverty-stricken people in India who desperately need to hear of God's love for them.
