In 2016 I came to an agreement with my family members; no fighting over politics. Over the holidays I wrote a cookbook while we engaged in the 6 steps for non-violent conflict resolution which emerged in the 20th Century Civil Rights Movement. This process works for reconciliation.
As human beings, we can change the way we interact with each other if we want to steer the proverbial train away from the current course that is otherwise assuredly going to end in unprecedented violence.
