Contact: Chris Slattery, Founder & President, Expectant Mother Care, 718- 884-9210

NEW YORK, Feb. 27 /Christian Newswire/ -- "Today marks a dramatic new chapter in the pro-life movement's efforts to reach out in compassion to women about to obtain an abortion. Expectant Mother Care-also known as EMC FrontLine Pregnancy Centers, New York City's oldest and largest network of crisis pregnancy centers and pro-life health clinics (15 sites currently) announces the launch of the City's first pro-life, mobile ultrasound clinic to be parked at major abortion clinics- a full six days per week starting today, Tuesday, February 27th, 2007," said EMC Founder and President, Chris Slattery.

At approximately 7:30am, EST, Mr. Slattery, along with his full time ultrasound technician and bi-lingual crisis pregnancy counselor will pull up to Dr. Emily's abortion facility on Southern Blvd in the South Bronx in a renovated late model, 32 foot long Hurricane model Motorhome, equipped with a portable ultrasound unit in the rear exam room. In co-ordination with local pro-life sidewalk counselors, EMC will offer free ultrasounds, hot drinks, and friendly compassionate crisis counseling to all pregnant women on their way into Dr. Emily's.

Slattery stated, "We anticipate a great response to our offers of free pregnancy tests, counseling, and ultrasound, as women will be offered a judgment free space to reflect on their impending abortion without heavy pressure or coercion. Women will be offered free group housing, free pre-natal care, and material aid, as well as professional adoption counseling, besides an offer of a free ultrasound."

Slattery claims that his initiative is the first in the U.S. of this type in a major American city, and the first ever in the city many in the pro-life movement refer to as "the Abortion Capital of America" where over 88,000 abortions were reported in 2005, according to the State of NY Department of Health.

A heavy television news presence is anticipated on the first day of "Operation FrontLine" following an exclusive news report published in the Monday, February 26th edition of the New York Daily News. 6 local TV crews are already committed to coverage of the event.
