BOSTON, Aug. 17 /Christian Newswire/ -- World-renowned gospel singer Ron Kenoly and more than thirty Christian worship leaders will declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ over Boston through music on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Saturday, September 19 for Boston Night of Worship 2009.

Thousands of people from all walks of life spanning across different denominations, generations and ethnic backgrounds, from all over the United States and across the globe, are expected to gather at the Kresge Auditorium at MIT to participate in this new movement of unity in worship. The state of Massachusetts is the historical birthplace of the First Great Awakening, which changed American society in the 18th century. Boston Night of Worship has a similar mission to be part of changing 21st century society for the better and to honor Christ. The worshippers, comprised of singers and musicians, will set the tone for God to show up.

"BNOW exists to mobilize and raise a generation hungry for the manifest presence of God and unity through cross-cultural gatherings of worship, prayer and love in action," said Zenzo Geoffrey, director of the Boston Night of Worship. "Our core desire is that all who attend are moved to respond to God's heartbeat to break generational, denominational, and racial boundaries and live relationally with God and humanity and to take action against any injustice in their sphere of influence."

This unique Christ-centered event will be the culmination of the Academy of Praise training for worship leaders and worship teams. Drawing upon more than 25 years of experience in the Christian music industry, Dr. Kenoly will teach intensive sessions on praise and worship at the bilingual church Leon de Juda in Boston, September 17-19. The teaching will be translated from English into Spanish and Portuguese simultaneously for participants who prefer to listen to Dr. Kenoly's teaching in these other languages.

The Boston Night of Worship is a free event open to all. The Academy of Praise training with Ron Kenoly has a nominal fee and requires pre-registration.
